Hello, I am 18 years old, and currently looking forward to starting my first year of college! I am looking forward to majoring in horticultural sciences as well!
For this college, I decided to buy my own house instead of living in a dorm. This was because the house was being sold at a far less price than it was to live in a dorm each year, and overall I could have a house to live in after college! The house is a little old, built in the late 1980's so a lot of the interior design is outdated. Some of the wood on the outside needs to be repainted, but it was definitely worth the price! It's a small two-story, and the inside looks really clean and new for its age. There are a few water satins in the living room ceiling, and some wear on the wood counters in the kitchen, but other than that it's great!
I was planning on making a large garden in the backyard. Unfortunately, most of the backyard is covered with a cement ground, and only the sides or old planters are available. Some of the cement was cracking from old age, and I could see dirt underneath. Maybe one of these days, I'll get rid of the cement myself and replace it with all grass. I'd only leave a few stepping stones in the backyard to walk on! I was thinking it'll look like this. I'll have to find a way to take care of the old swimming pool too. I half want to keep it, and half don't. Maybe for now I'll just fill it up again and enjoy it. It looks new enough!
For now though, I'll be working on putting all my old stuff in order in this house. I sorta dumped everything into the room I'd be sleeping in, and so far it's a mess. Most of it is old books and clothes for me to sell on ebay while I try and find a job!
